Atlantic Fire Protection in Ocean County, NJ

Ocean County is home base for Atlantic Fire Protection. Our office is at 1745 US 9, Unit 9, in Toms River, the county seat, and we have been in business since March 2016. Because we are here, Ocean County businesses are often the easiest for us to reach, and you can even bring extinguishers to the office during business hours for inspection and tagging, refills and recharging, hydrostatic testing, or replacement.

The Jersey Shore economy runs on seasons. Restaurants, pizzerias, boardwalk food stands, ice cream shops, bars, and snack counters open for the summer, and some close or cut back in the winter. A kitchen that has been shut for months should not simply be switched back on. Before opening day, it is a good time to have the extinguishers inspected and tagged, to have the kitchen suppression system checked, and to test the emergency lights and exit signs. The same goes for rental properties, motels, and seasonal shops that fill up in July and August.

Who enforces the fire code

In New Jersey, the local fire official or fire marshal enforces the fire code, and that is usually the municipal fire prevention office or fire official for your town. They are the ones who check tags and look at exit lights during an inspection. If a fire official has given you a violation notice, send it to us and we will tell you what service it needs.

How a visit works

Call (732) 443-0608 or use the request form with your address and what you need. We schedule a visit at your business. A technician inspects each extinguisher and tags the ones that pass, and tells you which ones need recharging, repair, or replacement. If you have a kitchen suppression system or emergency lighting, we check those during the same visit when they are part of the job. For a handful of extinguishers, walking them into the Toms River office is often the simplest way to do it.
