Atlantic Fire Protection serves businesses in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, which means Lehigh County (the Allentown area) and Northampton County (the Easton area). It is one of six Pennsylvania counties we cover, all within roughly two hours of our Toms River shop, and we do not serve Philadelphia. We also cover all of New Jersey. To be clear about where we are based: our office is at 1745 US 9, Unit 9, in Toms River, NJ. We do not have a Pennsylvania street address, so for Lehigh Valley work we travel to you, and you reach us on our Pennsylvania phone line, (484) 214-1800.

Towns we cover

The Lehigh Valley is built around Allentown in Lehigh County, Bethlehem, which spans both counties, and Easton in Northampton County. Those are the towns we name here as representative of the area. If your business is in Lehigh or Northampton County, you are inside our coverage area, and if you are not sure, call and ask.

Businesses in the area

The Lehigh Valley sits on the Interstate 78 corridor, and the region is known for warehouses, distribution centers, and light industrial buildings. Those sites usually need portable fire extinguishers mounted where workers can reach them, plus emergency lighting and illuminated exit signs along aisles and exit routes. Large open buildings often have exit lights that are far from the floor, so testing them is easy to put off and easy to forget.

The towns also have the restaurants, bakeries, diners, and catering kitchens you would expect in any metro area, along with offices, medical practices, schools, churches, and property management companies. Anywhere food is cooked with oil or grease, the kitchen can have a wet chemical suppression system over the cooking line and a Class K extinguisher nearby. We inspect and service those systems, including Ansul, and install new ones.

Who enforces the fire code

In Pennsylvania the local fire official or fire marshal enforces the fire code, and that office can differ from one municipality to the next. Extinguishers generally need an annual inspection and a current tag, and exit and emergency lights need regular testing. If you are not sure what your local inspector expects at your building, ask the fire official first, then call us to schedule the work.

Services available in the Lehigh Valley

For fire extinguishers, we service and install Kidde, Amerex, Buckeye, Badger, Strike First, and other extinguisher brands. For kitchen fire suppression systems, we service and install Ansul, Range Guard, Guardian, Pemall, Denlar, Pyro-Chem, Protex, and suppression lines from Buckeye, Kidde, Amerex, and Badger.

How a visit works

Call (484) 214-1800 or send the request form with your address, the type of business, and what you need. We schedule a visit at your location. On site, we inspect the equipment, tag extinguishers that pass, and tell you what needs recharging, repair, or replacement. Kitchen suppression systems and emergency lights are checked on the same trip when they are part of the job. If something is out of date or failing, we can usually fix or replace it on a follow-up visit, and you can ask us for a price before any work is done.

If you operate a food truck or trailer in the area, see food truck fire protection. We handle the fire protection side of the truck; we do not build whole food trucks.
